Band Rehearsal

Wow!  Great turnout this morning for band rehearsal!  Don’t forget that morning rehearsals are now on Tuesdays from 8:00-8:45am, and we will behaving rehearsal once a month on Thursdays.  If you didn’t see the letter that went home here it is: 

Dear Band Supporters,

We want to thank you so much for encouraging your band member to practice and attend the necessary rehearsals.  We have really enjoyed working with every instrumentalist throughout this year and are looking forward to our concerts. 

            Think of a concert as running a marathon.  If a person decides to run a marathon the preparation would likely include a daily run on the treadmill, but you’ll also want to do a couple of half marathons.  Rehearsal is band’s half marathon.  It is a great opportunity for our instrumentalists to practice playing together before the concert, and offers more experience than practice alone.  Regular attendance at rehearsal will really enhance our band’s sound at our concert.

In an effort to make band rehearsal more accessible, we will be changing the morning rehearsals to Tuesdays at 8:00.  We hope that more students will be able to join us.  We thank you for your ingenuity with carpooling, help from family and friends, etc, in an effort to get our band members together. 

In addition, we hope all students will join us for after school rehearsal once a month on Thursdays from 2:30 to 3:15.  The dates for these rehearsals are March 13^th, April 17^th, May 1^st, and a final dress rehearsal on May 8^th. 

We truly appreciate your flexibility as we attempt to meet the needs of our band family and bring everyone together for our rehearsals.  Please contact Mrs. Lefkus or Mrs. Stuetzle with any questions or concerns.
